The government of Afghanistan is keen to promote Afghan arts and culture as widely as possible overseas. However, since it has no funds to support the cost of international tours by Afghan artists and arts groups, all necessary expenses must be met by the overseas partner.

Afghan artists travelling overseas must have a work permit and letter of invitation from an agency abroad as well as a return air ticket. This should be sent to the embassy or consulate for the country to which the artist is travelling in Kabul to keep them informed of the project or exchange.
