![]() Developed in the liberated zone during the 1950s and 1960s by the Pathet Lao with assistance from the Việt Minh, the mass culture movement in Laos is modelled closely on that of Việt Nam and takes the form of a nationwide network of programmes and propaganda activities co-ordinated by the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) with the aim of reinforcing adherence to the Party Line and disseminating government and LPRP directives regarding a cultured way of life.
