The Department of Archives is not currently a member of the International Council of Archives (ICA) since it has no budget to pay the annual ICA membership fee; it is not therefore able to participate in meetings of ICA’s regional branch organisation, SARBICA. National institutional membership of the Association Internationale des Archives Francophones (AIAF) is held by the National Library rather than the Department of Archives.
