In accordance with the agreement signed on 11 April 2002 between the National University of Laos (NUOL) and the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS), the Asia Research Centre (ARC) was established at NUOL on 16 August 2002. Through ARC, the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, has been supporting research activities by Lao scholars and collaborative research projects involving both Lao and Korean researchers, with the aim of contributing to academic advancement and enhanced mutual understanding between Asian nations.
