Born in Vientiane in 1972, Laos Cultural Profile Project Officer Somkieth Kingsada studied at the Pedagogical University of Vientiane, majoring in English Language. In 2005-2007 he studied for a Masters degree at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. He is currently Deputy Head of the International Relations Section within the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Culture and Co-ordinator of the ASEAN Laos National Committee on Culture and Information (COCI).
