Launched in 2001, this important annual showcase for Lao handicrafts takes place each year at the Km 5 Trade Exhibition Centre and features a wide range of craft items including textiles, wood and rattan items, metalwork, sa paper and jewellery. The third festival of 2004 featured some 140 booths, a fashion show featuring Lao textiles and jewellery produced by different companies and demonstrations of silk spinning, hand loom weaving and silversmithing.
