The Department of International Organisations is responsible to the Minister for foreign policy issues in the United Nations (General Assembly, Security Council, Main Committees), UN peacekeeping, human rights issues in the United Nations (General Assembly, ECOSOC, Commission on Human Rights, treaty-bodies), refugee affairs and humanitarian institutions (UNHCR, ICRC, IOM), foreign policy co-ordination in specialised agencies (ILO, UNESCO, WHO, UNICEF, ICAO, IMO, WMO, ITU, UNEP, UPU, FAO, UNIDO, WIPO), Vienna-based UN institutions (IAEA, Nuclear Suppliers Group) and Supervision of Permanent Missions (New York).
