The National Inter Ministerial Co-ordinating Committee for the Protection and Development of Cultural, Historic and Natural Heritage is responsible for researching guidelines, plans and regulations on the management, conservation, preservation and restoration of national cultural, historic and natural sites all over the country; for establishing and maintaining co-operative relationships between local and foreign agencies with a view to identifying potential sources of funding and expertise in management, conservation, preservation and restoration of national cultural, historic and natural sites; to establish an inventory of immovable and movable assets and sites which can be proposed as national or world heritage; and to disseminate information on national cultural, historic and national sites to the public in order to help people to understand the values of culture and their obligations to contribute to the management, conservation, preservation and restoration of the cultural, historic and natural heritage.
