The Department of Administration and Protocol of the Prime Minister’s Office is responsible for providing services directly to the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Head of the Cabinet of the Prime Minister’s Office, including: taking a role in co-ordinating between the Cabinet and other Departments of the Prime Minister’s Office and local authorities in providing vehicles, materials and equipment, services and protocol support; preparing the annual budget plan for vehicles, materials and services for government meetings, daily allowances and other materials for the Prime Minister’s Office; co-operating with concerned authorities both in Laos and overseas in providing facilities and security for the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Head of Cabinet during overseas visits; carrying out daily services to the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Head of Cabinet in relation to visiting guests, receptions, dinners, bilateral meetings and other protocol activities, including sending and receiving high officials to/from the provinces and abroad; maintaining and cleaning the government meeting hall, reception area and desk office of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Head of Cabinet; and maintaining and repairing all vehicles and other materials for which the Prime Minister’s Office is responsible.
