The National Council for Library Services (NCLS) was constituted in October 2002 by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. The Council is a professional and consultation body that decides on professional matters in the field of library services as well as handling and giving opinions on all technical issues related to the operation and development of libraries. Members of the Council are representatives of all types of libraries, their associations and funders.
