 Tôn Đức Thắng Museum was established on 20 August 1988, the anniversary of late President Tôn Đức Thắng’s 100th birthday. Housed in the former residence of Trần Thiện Khiêm, Premier of the Sài Gòn government prior to 1975, the museum contains more than 600 items, documents and photographs relating to the life and work of the former president, who succeeded President Ho Chi Minh in 1969 and is remembered as a great patriot.
