Located amongst a group of houses 25 kilometres north-east of Quy Nhơn, this important site is all that now remains of the kingdom of Vijaya’s principal seaport, which was operational between the 11th and 15th centuries. The tower was constructed in the early 12th century in transitional Mỹ Sơn A1-Bình Định style (early 11th-mid 12th centuries) within a brick citadel, of which traces of rampart may still be seen in the surrounding area. The sanctuary honours a set of linga still preserved in the nearby pagoda.
