 The turreted eastern and western walls of a substantial citadel constructed by the sixteenth-century Mạc dynasty are located on a limestone outcrop west of Lạng Sơn city. The site may be reached by heading out of the town past the six-way junction (ngã sáu) onto the Tam Thanh road.
