Based at the historic Hồ Chí Minh City Opera House, which it also runs, the promotional arm of Hồ Chí Minh City Service of Culture and Information is charged with organising performances by Vietnamese and foreign artists and arts groups within its various venues. Apart from the Opera House, these include District 5’s Nhân Dân, Thủ Đô and Quốc Thanh Theatres, District 3’s Long Vân and Thanh Vân Theatres, Bình Thạnh District’s Gia Định Theatre and Gò Vấp District’s Gò Vấp Cultural Centre. Saigon Concert also provides a range of artistic and cultural services, produces and trades specific equipment for the arts industry and is engaged in the work of refurbishing Hồ Chí Minh City’s theatres.
