This monument to Vietnamese-Soviet friendship was constructed as a gift from the Central Council of Trade Unions of the former USSR and opened in 1985. It hosts a wide range of large-scale theatre performances, festival events, conferences and meetings. Its main Theatre (the only one of its venues which is air-conditioned) is one of the largest in Việt Nam.
