Located in leafy Musashino, the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum is the nostalgic new home for relics of historical and cultural interest. Buildings of significant cultural merit, including many from the beginning of the modern era, are gathered here. Folklore and living customs are exhibited in the buildings, bringing back to life various aspects of living and business conditions of former times. Studio Ghibli's acclaimed animator Hayao Miyazaki often visited here during the creation of his film Spirited Away, for inspiration. |
