Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space was established in 1990 by the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education. This municipal arts complex comprises four halls (a large hall, a medium hall, and two small halls) for a range of different theatrical arts. Since its opening, TGG has presented many internationally-distinguished artists from all over the world in many different kinds of entertainment, ranging from music concerts, operas and ballets to dances, plays and traditional Japanese comic stories. TGG also accommodates exhibition spaces, rehearsal rooms, restaurants and cafes.
