The Centre for Global Partnership operates within the Japan Foundation. It was established in 1991, to help achieve closer relations between Japan and the United States, and to contribute to a better world through the co-operative efforts of both countries. It supports projects that engage Japanese and American people, along with colleagues from around the world, to address issues of transnational significance, the shared domestic concerns of industrialised nations, or issues that affect US-Japan relations, through Intellectual Exchange Programmes, Regional and Grassroots Programmes, and Fellowship Programmes.
