Tekisui Museum was founded in 1964 to exhibit the private collection of Yamaguchi Kichirobei, a successful businessman from the Kansai region. The collection features over 1,500 Chinese, Japanese and Korean art works, and includes pottery and porcelain, dolls and other craft items. The priceless collection of ceramics is especially noteworthy, particularly the red raku tea bowl by Chojiro, overglazed enamel cold water jars with chrysanthemum painting by Ninsei, old Kutani-yaki, and old Kyo-yaki.
