Amagasaki Cultural CentreLocated in the city's 'Archaic' region, Amagasaki Cultural Centre is a multi-purpose venue which incorporates several different types of auditorium. Built in 1982, the main Archaic Hall is the home of Kansai District's most prominent opera company. It has 1,820 seats and is used mainly for orchestral and operatic performances. Archaic Hall OCT, built in 1993 and attached to the main building, is capable of changing the configurations of the stage and audience seating under computer control and is suitable for many different activities including concerts, plays, fashion shows and exhibitions. Archaic Hall Mini hosts smaller-scale events.

Type of venue: medium sized multi-purpose venue; main use: concerts, plays, fashion shows, exhibitions; seating: 650 seats; performing area: adjustable, 18m W x 10.9m D x 7m H to grid, flat stage floor suitable for dance; suspension equipment: 7 electric lines, max load 300kgs; soft hangings: Shibori house curtain, black tabs, traverse curtain, legs and borders, cyclorama; lighting: Toshiba 80-channel desk, dimmers, basic rig; sound: Yamaha 24-channel mixer, Yamaha power amplifiers, Meyer Sounds speakers; film and video: Eiki 16mm projector; stage equipment: Steinway concert grand piano; backstage: 4 dressing rooms plus various additional areas accommodating 18 persons total; climate control: air-conditioned and heated; availability: available for straight hire
