Numerous Norwegian festivals promote arts and culture throughout the country during all seasons, providing exciting artistic opportunities for a growing audience in Norway and abroad.

Norway Festivals was established in 1997 as the main forum for all Norwegian festivals and aims to act as a co-ordinating body for collaborations and for the development of Norwegian festivals. The organisation intends to further awareness of members’ festivals and to promote them nationally and internationally. Each year Norway Festivals publishes a brochure in both Norwegian and English, listing its members and giving details about each event. The organisation’s website is very extensive and continually updated.
