Stavanger is located on the south-west coast of Norway. The combination of small-town charm, historical sites and easy access to spectacular scenery makes it an ideal chamber music venue. A festival guest can easily stroll from one concert in the medieval Cathedral to the next at the modern Concert Hall or other venue. Between concerts the fjords and the sandy beaches await. Spontaneity is a keynote of this Festival. The Artistic Directors are the three members of the Grieg Trio (Sølve Sigerland - violin, Ellen Margrethe Flesjø - cello and Vebjørn Anvik - piano).
