Madrugada is a Norwegian rock band formed in Stokmarknes in 1995. The band members include Frode Jacobsen (bass), Sivert Høyem (vocals), and Robert Burås (guitar). Madrugada in many ways prefigured the electronica of Röyksopp and the Kings of Convenience, with a darkly melodic style reminiscent of a slightly cheerier Nick Cave. Their albums are Industrial Silence (2000), The Nightly Disease (2001), Grit (2002), Grit (UK release) 2004, The Deep End (2005) and Live at Tralfamadore (2005).
