 The Bank of Scotland Children's International Theatre Festival takes place in Edinburgh in May each year. As the biggest performing arts festival for children and young people in the UK, the Festival is a unique opportunity for schoolchildren and their teachers, families and industry professionals to see the best children's theatre the world has to offer.The 2006 Festival presented 13 world-class productions from Scotland, England, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and France for children aged between 1 and 14 years of age. 76 performances were presented over seven days in Edinburgh theatres and art centres to an audience of over 10,000 children and their school teachers and families.
