Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) is becoming one of the most well-known and influential centres of contemporary arts practice in Scotland. It incorporates two galleries, a two-screen cinema, a print studio, a visual research centre, a café-bar, a shop, the Atlantic Telecom Activity Room, and a conference/meeting room.
DCA offers exhibitions from international and UK artists, independent films and classic movies, education and outreach programmes.
It also features activities for children, gallery talks, courses and classes in print disciplines, meet-the-artist events and music events. DCA is committed to engaging local communities through the development of education and outreach.
DCA aims: (i) to create an innovative and quality programme of exhibitions, involving artists from Scotland, the UK and around the world; (ii) to enable artists and school community groups to benefit from a unique range of printmaking facilities; (iii) to encourage critical debate and enhance the experience of visiting the centre through innovative approaches to interpretation and a wide programme of events; and (iv) to broaden access to the centre through marketing and an extensive community and education programme.
