One of a network of libraries operated by East Dunbartonshire Libraries Service, Brookwood Library, Bearsden offers: a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books including large print books and audio books, plus CDs, videos and DVDs for loan; a reference and information service; community information and quick reference material; free use of computers with access to the Internet, Microsoft Office, E-mail software and online learning resources; a range of daily and weekly newspapers and magazines; and photocopier and fax for public use.
The Library also holds some archival records relating to Bearsden and Milngavie, see East Dunbartonshire Archives Service.
The Library hosts a wide range of special events throughout the year, including a Reading Group.
