Perth Concert Hall is a neo-Baroque edifice opened in 1911 on the site of the former city hall (1844-1910). It includes the pipe organ originally built for its predecessor.
Along with Perth Theatre, it is run by and was recently completely refurbished by Horsecross, a multi-million pound arts and events enterprise. It describes its areas of operation as the three C's - culture, conferences and community - and its approach as 'mainstream with an edge'. It promotes new work, new groups and new ideas and aims to programme festivals and celebrations across both venues.
The foyer of Perth Concert Hall now incorporates Threshold, Scotland's new digital art space.
