The Ljubljana regional office of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia is responsible for cultural heritage in the territory of 31 municipalities, where 32 cultural monuments declared of high importance by the state are located. These include Bogenšperg and Snežnik Castles, churches, homesteads, the Robba Fountain and Cekin Castle in Ljubljana. The office has branches in Krško and Škofja Loka.
