Established in 1947, the Secondary School for Design and Photography, Ljubljana runs three educational programmes: Design (graphic design, industrial design and fashion design), Photography, and the Art Grammar School (comprising a classic grammar school syllabus with additional visual arts subjects on architecture, art history, etc). Educational programmes for adults are also organised by the Design and Photography Departments. The School is housed in the Monastery of the Order of Teutonic Knights at Križanke, which was renovated by Plečnik in 1953, and currently takes in about 100 pupils each year.
