Through workshops, publishing activities and various events involving eminent writers and directors, the Show Your Tongue International School of Script Writing has significantly influenced the development of scriptwriting in Slovenia. Founded by the Open Society Institute in 1997 and developed through practical work and projects, it continues its mission today as a part of the Myra Locatelli Cultural Association. Since 2000 it has expanded its programmes to cover the field of digital film, organising workshops, mentoring, script doctoring and translation services. The annual school organises pitching for Slovene producers and tries to bring participants with their scripts to various advanced European workshops. Partners of the school have included the Slovene Film Fund and the Nova Gorica Grammar School. Workshops for the 10th anniversary Show Your Tongue took place during the Kino Otok festival in Izola in May 2007.
