Part of the Pekarna Magdalena Network, a non-profit and non-governmental institution for the support of civil-social initiatives and multicultural co-operations, this gallery is named after the Hladilnica ('Fridge hall') of the former military bakery complex in which it is situated. Comprising a main 523 square metre space and a smaller 400 square metre space, Hladilnica Gallery presents mainly the work of younger artists who work in the field of urban alternative culture and subculture in various media. With its space characterics, the venue is a challenge, and the installation of works is usually very site-specific.
