Alongside its performing arts production activities and the publication of Maska Magazine, Maska is engaged in publishing books related to the broadest area of contemporary performing arts, from theatre, opera, contemporary dance and new ballet to performance, multimedia and new-media art. The TRANSformacije ('TRANSformations') book series covers contemporary performing arts theory, introducing some new terminology and conceptual frameworks by Slovene or foreign authors, while the Mediakcije ('Mediactions') book series introduces critical writing on media and society. These book series are in Slovene only.
Among latest titles of TRANSformacije are: Bojana Kunst's 'Dangerous Connections', Tomaž Toporišič's 'Between Seduction and Suspiciousness', 'The Future of Computer Arts' (edited by Marina Gržinić), Hans-Thies Lehmann's 'Postdramatic Theatre', Alexei Monroe's 'Plural Monolith. Laibach and NSK', 'Zero Visibility' (edited by Valentina Valentini), Stelarc (edited by Marina Gržinić), Amelia Jones' 'Body Art. Performing the Subject', 'Theories of Contemporary Dance' (edited by Emil Hrvatin - his name being Janez Janša since 2007); 'Libi_doc' (by Katrien Jacobs), Ready 2 Change (edited by Urška Jurman and Polonca Lovšin). The Mediakcije brought translations of 'New Watchdogs' by Serge Halimi, followed by Naomi Klein’s No logo and Monopoli by Sandra B. Hrvatin and Lenart J. Kučič, dealing with the issue of ownership in Slovene media.
