RTV Slovenia's Radio Production Unit consists of two branches: a technical production team and a technology team. The technical production team consists of three groups: a group for daily work, a group for radio programmes, audio recording and broadcasting and a group for music recording and programmes recorded by a director. The latter group also works on sound matrixes for various audio publishing houses, prepares sound system installations for major public events and does sound design for numerous TV programmes. Compared to European models of radio production, that of RTV Slovenia may perhaps be viewed as idiosyncratic, yet it is sensible when viewed in the context of a population of 2 million people, the specific cultural and economic conditions and the special mission of RTV as a public institution for radio diffusion.
