Music production encompasses the recording and broadcasting of important music events in Slovenia (more than 110 annually). Numerous studio recordings offer high-quality audio recordings of current achievement at the Slovene music scene, especially interpretations of new Slovene compositions. The Music Production Unit is also responsible for activities of the RTV Slovenia ensembles which play an important role in Slovene music culture: the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Chamber Orchestra, the RTV Slovenia Big Band and the RTV Slovenia Youth Choir. The ensembles are involved in numerous programmes, and participate at many public events both at home and abroad. They interpret new music scores and develop various genres, including jazz, light music, vocal instrumental music, film music and music for TV serials and the stage.
