Celje Youth Centre is a non-profit organisation registered as an institute for youth culture, education, information and sport. It offers a variety of events and activities: concerts, exhibitions, theatre and dance performances, and creative workshops (photography, film, journalism, language). The centre also organises the Mediafest - festival of contemporary music and digital art featuring live acts and multimedia presentations, the Stopin'ce Youth Literature Festival, and the Street Olympics, a combined sports and culture event. The centre's staff work as volunteers running workshops in primary schools and also run an exchange of European volunteers (EVS programme), stimulating volunteer work among the young. The activities of Celje Youth Centre are funded by Celje Urban Municipality, the Office for Youth of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, the Employment Service of Slovenia, the EU Youth Programme National Commission, the Ministry of Culture and sponsors.
