Gorenje is among the eight largest domestic appliance manufacturers in Europe, with more than 50 years of tradition. Gorenje has purchased works of arts for some decades, and sponsors contemporary arts events, eg the 27th edition of the Ljubljana International Biennial of Graphic Art in 2007.the The Gorenje Art Collection comprises 800 works of Slovene art of the 20th Century. A permanent exhibition of a selection of 65 artworks out of is on view at Velenje Museum.
